Vorsia News Network, Vorsia Companion – Missing Pilot

Welcome to Vorsia News Network. Today’s top story is about a pilot that went missing during tragic prototype testing. Several weeks ago Countess Lilith Kaine-Delcroix of Dark Skies Gearworks and Commander Alleria Shepard of Nova Industries decided to begin development of a new battle suit that would revolutionize survival and utility technology. It is believed the plans for “All-In-One Battle Suit”, or the Project Ishimura; began when both leaders were drunk on a private party and one of them suggested it would be cool if battle suits could fly, however this rumour remains unconfirmed.

The Ishimura battle suit was designed from heavy battle armour blue-prints and it incorporated all of the additional defensive and utility tools manufactured by Nova Industries, such as electronic lock breaker or grappling hook. However the main feature was making the suit capable of atmosphere ascend and even sublight travel. To supply the necessary power Dark Skies Gearworks engineers salvaged Koensayr R200 ion jet engine to fit at the back of the suit. The engine is most commonly seen on BTL-S3 Y-wing starfighters. Prototype of the Ishimura battle suit ended up being much more bulky than Heavy Battle Armour and offered very limited manoeuvrability, though the defence capabilities were increased.

During the suit’s demonstration it was tested by being fired up from various small and heavy projectile weapons, including CVI Rotating Heavy Cannon, E-Web Blaster and RPS-6 Rocket Launcher. Boon Rhaw the test pilot initially worried to get blown away and was rather reluctant, but after Commander Shepard promised to make him honourable human if he survives he agreed. Surprisingly he did survive the barrage of weapons, no small thanks to the built in energy shield; and by his words; “Didn’t even feel a thing.” When asked about why Countess Delcroix agreed to [using] alien test pilot, she commented:

“If this thing would fall apart I’d rather have one of them [aliens] to be in it.”

The suit’s weight proved to be a challenge during the grapping hook testing. One of the test included scaling a wall of a personal residence vertically with assistance of the hook, however the wall collapsed under the enormous weight. Though it was suggested the hook could be used instead to capture fleeing wildlife or enemies.

Unfortunately the test pilot wasn’t aware about function of the big red button and during lock breaker’s testing it was accidentally pressed and it activated the ion jet engine. Soon after the suit was seen taking off towards the moon’s atmosphere, startling local residents who believed a rocket was being launched and began to prepare for alien invasion.

It is unclear what happened to the test pilot who’s last transmission: “FFFfuuuuuu…” was hilarious to the two leaders. One of the popular theories among citizens is that the suit is still floating around the system, so just in case pilots should be wary of small fast traveling object near Vorsia system.

In possibly related news, several minutes after the suit disappeared Vorsia's security force reported large traffic incident caused by an unidentified flying object. Coming up next; Cooking with Aliens: How To Make Mon Calamari pizza and other amphibians animals.
